JSC Siberia Airlines (“S7 Airlines”) is an involved person under the Russia (EU Exit) (Sanctions) Regulations 2019 on the basis of the following grounds:
JSC Siberia Airlines (“S7 Airlines”) is or has been involved in obtaining a benefit from or supporting the Government of Russia by carrying on business in a sector of strategic significance to the Government of Russia, namely the Russian transport sector.
JSC Siberia Airlines (“S7 Airlines”) is or has been involved in obtaining a benefit from or supporting the Government of Russia by carrying on business as a Government of Russia-affiliated entity, namely by receiving financing, directly or indirectly, from the Russian National Wealth Fund.
JSC Siberia Airlines (“S7 Airlines”) is or has been involved in destabilising Ukraine or undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine, by making available goods or technology that could contribute to destabilising Ukraine or undermining or threatening the territorial integrity, sovereignty or independence of Ukraine.
