The Kurdistan Freedom Hawks (TAK) is a Kurdish nationalist group that uses violence to pursue its goal of an independent Kurdish state in south eastern Turkey. They have claimed responsibility for numerous terrorist attacks, and are believed to have links to the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK a proscribed terrorist organisation).
